The Northeast Minnesota Office of Job Training (NEMOJT) is a client-centric organization focused on providing all participants the best customer service, support, and encouragement possible. Regardless of classification or job title, all employees are expected to positively represent the agency at all times through a consistent display of professionalism, providing thoughtful and welcoming customer services, and participating as fully engaged team members in each CareerForce location and agency-wide. Our work places our customers and clients first, ensuring that the needs of those we serve are addressed in a timely manner.

Our Career Counselors are required to have a four year degree in a behavioral science, education, social work or related field. Master’s level education and counseling experience is preferred.  Program areas covered are:  Adult, Dislocated Worker, Youth, Talent Development/Incumbent Worker and Minnesota Family Investment Program.

Help From NEMOJT After Two Layoffs

Dave Panchyshyn, from Aitkin, was laid off after nearly 20 years at his job. His first call was to the NEMOJT Aitkin office who had helped him before.  With some guidance from the career counselors, he started a new position earlier this month.

Mike Eisenbraun talks about his experience losing his job after 27 years. He contacted Kari at NEMOJT in Aitkin and enrolled in the Dislocated Worker program which allowed him to acquire some additional computer training and in turn become the Program Director for Aitkin County CARE.
